Privacy

This policy explains how Thirsti Pty Ltd (ACN 641 083 570, ABN 89 641 083 570), trading as by 2050, handles personal information. We collect the least we can and share it only with the companies that take your payment, print your order and deliver it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

1. What we collect

  • When you order: your name, email address, delivery address, a phone number for delivery updates, and the details of what you ordered.
  • Payment details: entered on Stripe’s checkout page, not on this site. We never see or store your card number. Stripe tells us only that the payment succeeded, the amount, and a payment reference so we can find the payment if you contact us or a refund is due.
  • When you join the email list: your email address only.
  • When you email us: whatever you include in the email, which we keep with your order record if it concerns an order.
  • Your bag: kept in your own browser’s local storage until you check out. It never leaves your device unless you place the order.

We do not collect sensitive information (health, religion, political opinion and the like) and we ask you not to send it to us.

2. Why we collect it

To take your payment, print and deliver your order, send the order confirmation and tracking email, answer your questions, handle a return or a consumer guarantee claim, keep the records tax law requires, and, only if you joined the list, send the by 2050 newsletter. We do not use personal information for anything else, we do not sell or trade it, and we do not use it for advertising on other sites.

3. Who we disclose it to, including overseas

  • Stripe (payments) receives your name, email, delivery address, phone number and payment details. Stripe is based in the United States and processes data there.
  • Printify and its partner printers (fulfilment) receive your name, delivery address, phone number and the order so they can print and post it. Your address goes to the printer that makes your piece: The Print Bar in Brisbane, Australia, or Shirt Monkey in Winsford, United Kingdom. Printify itself operates from the United States and the European Union.
  • Brevo (email) receives your name and email address to send the order confirmation, the tracking email and, if you opted in, the newsletter. Brevo is based in the European Union.
  • Cloudinary hosts product images only. It receives no personal information.
  • Error monitoring: the site includes Sentry error reporting, which is switched on only when configured. When it is on it receives technical error reports (page, browser type, error text), not your name, address or order.

Because Stripe, Printify, the UK printer and Brevo are outside Australia, your information is disclosed overseas to them for the purposes above. Each company holds it under its own privacy policy and contractual terms with us. We do not disclose personal information to any other overseas recipient, and we disclose it to a government body only where the law requires it.

4. How long we keep it

Order records, including name, address and what was bought, are kept for seven years from the order because Australian tax and company law require it. Email list details are kept until you unsubscribe; every email has an unsubscribe link and the address is removed from the list when you use it. Emails to [email protected] that are not about an order are deleted when they are no longer needed. Information we no longer need is deleted or de-identified.

5. Access and correction

You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep. Email [email protected]. We will confirm who you are (usually by replying to the email address on the order) and respond within 30 days, normally much sooner. There is no charge.

6. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Order records are held in a database that only we can access, with credentials kept out of the code. Payment details never touch our systems. If you think your information has been misused, tell us straight away.

7. Data breaches

Thirsti Pty Ltd is covered by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under the Privacy Act. If a breach of personal information we hold is likely to result in serious harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the scheme requires, and tell you what we recommend you do.

8. Complaints

If you think we have handled your personal information badly, email [email protected] with “Privacy complaint” in the subject line. We will acknowledge it within a few days and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

9. Cookies and local storage

This site sets no cookies of its own and runs no advertising trackers, which is why it shows no cookie banner. Two things are stored in your browser: your bag, in local storage on this site, and the cookies Stripe sets on its own checkout page to run the payment. We count visits with Umami, an open-source statistics tool that we run on our own server in Australia. It sets no cookies, does not store your IP address, and records only which pages were viewed, where the visit came from (for example Instagram or a search engine), the country, the device type, and store actions such as adding a piece to the bag or completing an order. None of it is linked to your name or email, and none of it is shared with anyone.

10. Changes to this policy

We will update this page when anything above changes and revise the date below.
